NATO's Air and Maritime forces carried out large-scale drills on the Black Sea near Varna, Friday, as part of the annual 'Sea Breeze' exercises, amid mounting political and military tensions between western countries and Russia in the Crimean region.
The air and maritime joint military training involved more than 30 vessels, planes ad helicopters with more than 2,000 soldiers.
"The drills involve 14 countries, 12 of them NATO members, as well as Georgia and Ukraine," Georgi Panayotov, Bulgarian Minister of Defence said.
The demonstration included different strategic exercises such as missile and bomb strikes against imaginary enemy targets.
