India Reported 38,164 new Covid 19 cases in the last 24 hours, which is 7% lower than the previous day figure. 38,660 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. With this, the recovery rate has increased to 97.32%. The World Health Organisation’s chief scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan said on July 18 said that India could initiate research on mix-and-match — of various Covid-19 vaccines to study the breadth and duration of immune responses as well as protection. India has recorded more than 2 crore cases of Covid-19 in the second wave of the pandemic, accounting for nearly two-thirds of all infections reported since the outbreak of the virus in the country.
