Check out this amazing camouflaged animal! Stick insects belong to a large and extensive group of diverse animals known as Phasmids. These animals can take the form of everything from lichens and moss, to sticks and leaves. Phasmids are herbivorous meaning the feed on plant material for the entirety of their lives. Once they hatch from an egg they spend their time crawling through shrubs, trees, and grasses, munching on vegetative matter so they can grow and molt! Aren't these little insects cool?
