DIY Fireplace Accent Wall | Under $100

DIY Fireplace Accent Wall | Under $100

Our simple fireplace got a huge upgrade at a minor cost! With a few pieces of premium pine, nails, and paint, I have completely transformed this living room space.

Accent feature walls are trending right now so we took that concept and applied it just to the fireplace space. We were going to stone this space or apply shiplap, but this option was not only cheaper but also better looking for this type of home. We will eventually update the actual fireplace with stone or something in the future.

The steps are simple:
1) Measure your space
2) Cut and frame the border
3) Cut the inner slats and install with brad nails
4) Wood fill the holes and seams, then caulk the corners
5) Paint it all up!
