Ustad Kale Khan sahib was the uncle of the larger life figure of the legendary maestro of the Patiala Gharana Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali khan sahib. He was born in the 19th century in Qasur (A village in the Punjab region of Pakistan). Kale Khan and Ustad Ali baksh khan ( kasurwale) was sent to Ustad Bade Fateh Ali Khan of Patiala Gharana to learn the Gayaki . They were the 1st among the other eminent musicians of that era to introduce duet singing. He was also known for his powerful Gayaki with which he was able to break any kind of thick glass surface.
