The waiting is over for the public servants as the Department of Public Service and Administration has confirmed that they will receive the non-pensionable cash allowance, including back pay in the next few days. It's been a long battle with trade unions initially rejecting the government's offer.
They finally settled for a 1.5% salary increase and sweetened cash allowance.
