A webinar with Kerry Dooley Young, freelance journalist and core topic leader for patient safety with the Association of Health Care Journalists
News coverage can unwittingly scare uninformed individuals when the side effects of vaccines are not put into perspective.
This is what we will be focusing on during the next webinar, with DC-based journalist Kerry Dooley Young. With Young, we will be dissecting vaccines’ side effects and how to report on them. Young is an experienced freelance journalist whose enthusiasm for the health beat has only grown over time. She recently became the core topic leader for patient safety for the Association of Health Care Journalists (AHCJ).
Young will share insights on reporting COVID-19 vaccine's side effects — telling the truth without encouraging vaccine hesitancy.
This is the second webinar that we will be organizing in partnership with AHCJ, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing public understanding of health care issues. Its mission is to improve the quality, accuracy and visibility of health care reporting, writing and editing. Together with AHCJ, we are organizing this webinar to get guidance on this tricky and contentious issue.
As I look forward to this highly important session, I also want to thank the fabulous team at AHCJ for this partnership and many more to come.
