Best Midwest Budget Fall Vacation (cheap trips, family, budget traveling, Wisconsin, Iowa) #shorts

Here are a few of my favorite budget vacations or staycations for midwest fall traveling. Lots of options for cheap and frugal day trips in the Midwest.


Best mid-size laidback city - Madison, WI (my hometown!)
Best city for golf fanatics - Galena, IL (so gorgeous in the Fall)
Best big city - Chicago (you'll need to budget a bit stricter, but it can be done)
Best place to party - Iowa Great Lakes (I've heard it's more laid back in the Fall, so would be a good time to go on a couple's trip.
Best place for serious outdoors people - Boundary Waters in Minnesota (AKA BWCA).
