Where do we go from here? Debating Corporate Sustainability in the Era of Climate Crisis

The climate crisis is quickly becoming a defining issue for society and the corporate world in particular. Parsons Faculty Raz Godelnik’s new book Rethinking Corporate Sustainability in the Era of Climate Crisis – A Strategic Design Approach suggests this crisis calls for a transformational shift in companies’ approach to sustainability to ensure the future, not just of business, but of humanity as a whole. But how might we design business to allow for a socially just and ecologically sound society?

This question, which informs Godelnik’s book, was also at the heart of a panel discussion that took place on September 24, 2021, to celebrate the book launch. Moderated by Jen Van der Meer, Assistant Professor of Strategic Design and Management, it included Maxine Bédat (New Standard Institute), Asheen Phansey (Eleven Radius), Sesh Vedachalam (frog), and Raz Godelnik.
