CCTV of Liverpool bomber’s taxi on way to terror attack

New CCTV footage shows hero cabbie David Perry’s taxi en route to Liverpool Women’s Hospital - just minutes before suicide bomber Emad Al Swealmeen detonated a homemade bomb.

The footage obtained by The Sun was captured on a supermarket security camera at around 10.56am on Sunday morning.

It shows David’s black Ford Focus estate travelling along Sefton Park Rd – a bustling street filled with small shops, restaurants and takeaways.

The discovery helps piece together the route taken by the cabbie after picking up terrorist Al Swealmeen from his home on Rutland Avenue in Liverpool’s Sefton Park area.

On Wednesday the burnt-out taxi was removed from Liverpool Women’s Hospital to for further investigation.

Police and bomb disposal officers on Boaler Street in Kensington, Liverpool, after suspicious packages were found as part of investigations into the Liverpool Women's Hospital explosion.

Counterterrorism police announced they believed Al-Swealmeen had been planning the attack since April, when he moved into an address on Rutland Avenue, near Sefton Park. So far detectives are not seeking anyone else in connection with the bombing, although they remain open-minded.
