China enhancing coal power generation

As 190 countries and organisations agreed to phase out coal power at the COP26 climate summit, China has redoubled its efforts to enhance its coal power generation capacity.

Major economies pledged to cut coal power generation in the 2030s, with the view of putting an end to its investment and use internationally.

China, however, is still building and enhancing its power capabilities.
