There are many different way to "pop" or "crunch" a patients back. I start out with mild or moderate styles of adjusting first to see how the patient handles the adjustment. If they can handle the mild adjustment well, and I think there is just a little further that a joint needs to be moved, I up the ante with a more advanced/intense manipulation.
