The CBDC Bill, 2021, listed in the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament,
seeks to prohibit all private cryptocurrencies in India.
However, it allows for certain exceptions to promote the underlying technology
of cryptocurrencies and its uses.
Amidst the crypto ban bill chaos that was spooking crypto investors,
seems like there is a respite from the same, finally.
During the Question Hour of second day of winter session, Union Finance
Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, that the risk that cryptocurrencies can
lead to undesirable activities needs to be closely monitored.
