The Medical Examiner has ruled the death of Lauren Smith-Fields, the young Connecticut woman who died after a Bumble date, as an accident. The 23-year-old died of acute intoxication due to the combined effects of fentanyl, promethazine, hydroxyzine, and alcohol, the ME said. However, Lauren's family says she was healthy and had no history of drug abuse, and they plan to sue the city of Bridgeport for the alleged negligence in the investigation.
